Cross Country 2017/18

Cross Country, Sport October 27, 2017
It’s getting wet, windy and dark outside, it can only mean one thing, its time to go running in the Phoenix Park again. KCS brought 23 students from 1st to 5th year, many seasoned campaigners but a number of first timers. There was some great victories on the day Lee Fulham and Amie O’Brien both won their respective 1st yr races , closely followed by Leah O’Brien and Blake Walsh who both came second so it was a KCS one and two in the first two races of the day. As well as these four fantastic individual displays KCS picked up second place in the girls team event
KCS’s fifth stand out performance on the day was Megan McGarry in the 3rd year girls race. Megan was narrowly beaten to come in second place overall. An excellent for her first appearance at the Phoenix Park.
KCS were also well represented in the senior boys race with the team being very unlucky to finish just outside the running for medals for the team event. Huge congratulations have to be given to Jordan Bracken and Leon who finished in 18th and 19th in the 90 strong 3.2km extremely tough race. Another huge performance w
Mr Kevlihan and Mr Keenaghan are already looking forward to next year and seeing KCS defend their titles.
