This year proved again to be a great success for KCS in Santry. Blessed with weather of 20+ degrees, athletes again stepped up to the plate with some fantastic results. In her first year of competing Megan Mc Garry of 1st year ran a powerful race, finishing in 2nd place in the 1500m. Jordan Bracken of 2nd year, a Tallaght A.C athlete also ran a fantastic race, narrowly finishing in 2nd place in a highly competitive 1500m. In sprints Jordan O Neill and Ogechi Izegbune both excelled narrowly missing out on medals finishing in 4th place in the 200 and 100 metre finals respectively. Jason Norton of 3rd year also ran a tough race in hot conditions taking 4th place in his 1500m. Aaron Sheridan, Jack Fitzgerald, Amy Edmonds and Amy Farrell, veterans of Santry also ran excellent races narrowly missing out on silverware but overall students accompanied by Mr Keenaghan and Ms O Neill enjoyed a successful day out and are looking forward to cross country again in September.
