On October 23rd the Leaving Cert Biology students travelled to Glendalough to complete their Ecology experiments as part of their coursework. Ecology is the study of living organisms and their environment and the instructors in the Wicklow Mountains National Park Education Centre did a wonderful job highlighting the various ecological aspects of the beautiful woodland. The students collected specimens for identifcation and measured 3 abiotic factors. Both Biology classes from KCS completed a quantitative study of the plants in Glendalough and enjoyed the lovely weather. A great end to first term!
