This year’s event was held on a beautiful sunny late October day. Conditions for running were only hampered by a slight cross wind. On the day we had eleven athletes represent KCS which was a disappointing fall on previous years numbers however the eleven that went represented the school with great pride, determination and effort. There was some stand out performances on the day, most noteably Amy Farrell who came eight in the senior girls race. this is especially impressive had Amy came eight out of 40 plus entrants and she is only in fifth year. Hopefully next year Amy came progress a few places higher in next years race. There was a great personal battle in the boys in the senior race between Jordan Kavanagh, Aaron Sheridan and Jack Fitzgerald. In the end Aaron came out the victor of the three and earned some hard won bragging rights. We are looking forward to next year’s race meet and hope to increase our numbers in this great event.
